A Tribute to Forugh Farrokhzad:

A Multimedia Presentation

Written and Directed by Maryam Habibian, PH.D.

An evening of lecture, acting, spoken word and
film in a tribute to FOURUGH FARROKHZAD (1935-67).

Forugh Farrokhzad (1935-1967), Persian poetry's most influential and
controversial woman, broke through the imprisoning patriarchal ideals
of womanhood with her earthy, yet militant poetry. A poet of the senses,
she made public the revolutionary cries of an enraged artist.
